SAGO

Widowed wives and fatherless children
Are what comes from unsafe conditions
Its happened too many, too many times
How many will die while working in the mines

When clean energy is cleaner and easily achieved
Yet the coal barrens get rich as the earth bleeds

Ignoring the safety of workers and families in grief
Those with lost loved ones will show no relief
Until the people of Appalachia rise as one
And view our oppressors through the barrels of guns

No longer sitting back as they destroy our lives and our culture
We will do everything we can to slay the coal vulture

The tables will turn
as sure as the sun will rise in the east

We will take back our mountains
and reclaim our streets

Burn down their mansions
and smash their machines

Giving new life
to our once poisoned streams

Then we will drag the bastards
from their ivory towers

Watch then beg for their life’s
in their final hour

But down with king coal
and off with his head

Will be the only shouts heard
as we avenge our dead

Some words about “Sago”

First off do we support miners - Fuck no!
However we must acknowledge that the workers that go underground to do a dangerous job are not the ones raping the earth for millions of dollars.
They are just people just like you and me that want to provide a
decent life for their family’s.
The owners of companies that believe the earth is their own to
buy and sell no matter the impact are the scum of the earth and they must be dealt with.
They have no regard for the ecosystems they destroy, much less their own workers.
They only care of their own wealth and power.

Lucky for us though they make new enemies every single day, and one day all their enemies will unite and drive the final stake through the heart of the coal barrens, the oil mongers, and the logging tyrants. Then we will rebuild with real clean technology for ourselves and for our planet. Far to long we have allowed nature to be subjugated for convenience. Its up to us to do what we can to make that day happen sooner rather than later...
